1) How much does a chimney inspection cost?

Our Chimney Inspection is $49. We check key safety points, draft, and visible components and let you know exactly what’s working and what needs attention—no pressure, just facts.

Our $199 Chimney Cleaning + Inspection includes a thorough sweep of the flue to remove soot/creosote, plus the same $49 safety inspection checklist. You’ll get clear before/after notes and recommendations, if any.

Most homes need once a year or every 40–60 fires—whichever comes first. If you burn unseasoned wood, use your fireplace heavily, or notice soot odor, plan to clean before peak season.

Yes—next-day service when available. If you’re flexible with time windows, we’ll do our best to fit you in quickly.

Common signs include:

  • Black flakes or heavy soot (creosote)

  • Smoke backing up into the room

  • Strong odor, especially in warmer weather

  • Draft issues, slow starting fires, or visible cracks/gaps

  • Missing/damaged cap, crown, or flashing
    If you see any of these, book an inspection ($49).

We work clean. We protect your home with floor and furniture coverings and use professional vacuums. The goal is no dust left behind.

  • Inspection only: ~30–45 minutes

  • Cleaning + Inspection: ~60–90 minutes
    Repairs vary by scope; we’ll give you a time estimate upfront.

Please avoid burning for 24 hours beforehand. Clear the area around the fireplace/appliance so we can work efficiently. Pets are safest in another room.

  • Cap: A metal cover that keeps out rain, animals, and debris while allowing smoke to vent.

  • Crown: The concrete top that seals the top of a masonry chimney. It sheds water away from bricks.

  • Flashing: The metal seal where the chimney meets the roof. It prevents roof leaks around the chimney.

Yes. We service masonry chimneys (brick/block) and factory-built/prefab systems. We’ll follow the manufacturer’s guidance where applicable and explain any system-specific needs

Yes. Even low-use chimneys can develop animal nests, moisture issues, or structural wear. An annual inspection ensures your system is safe and ready when you need it.
