Step 1 – Professional Arrival & Safety Check
Your technician will arrive, introduce themselves, and perform a quick safety overview of your fireplace area. They’ll confirm the service being performed, answer any immediate questions, and make sure we fully understand any concerns you may have (smoke issues, odor, draft problems, conversion plans, etc.).
This ensures we’re aligned on your expectations before beginning any work.
Step 2: Home Protection & Setup
We treat your home with the same care we would our own. Before any work begins, we:
✔ Lay down protective floor covers and drop cloths
✔ Shield nearby furniture or décor
✔ Set up our professional dust-control system & high-powered vacuum
This keeps your home clean and prevents any soot or debris from entering your living space.
Step 3: Full Chimney Inspection (Level 1 or as needed)
Depending on your system and needs, we perform a complete visual inspection of the firebox, flue, chimney components, and exterior stack. We’re checking for:
✔ Creosote buildup
✔ Cracks, damage, or structural issues
✔ Draft/blockage problems
✔ Safety hazards or code violations
If we spot anything that needs attention, we’ll document it and clearly explain your options before moving forward.
Step 4: Chimney Sweep & Cleaning
Once the inspection is complete, we use professional-grade brushes and a high-suction vacuum to thoroughly sweep the chimney from either the bottom-up or top-down, depending on your chimney’s design and condition.
✔ Removes creosote and soot buildup
✔ Helps prevent chimney fires
✔ Improves airflow for more efficient burning
Our process is clean, controlled, and designed to keep dust from entering your home.
Step 5: Post-Clean Review & Recommendations
When the sweep is finished, we’ll walk you through what we did, discuss any findings, and answer your questions. If repairs or upgrades are needed — including prep for a gas fireplace conversion — we’ll explain recommended next steps clearly with no pressure.
You’ll finish the appointment knowing your chimney is clean, safer to use, and exactly what condition it’s in.
Safety, Care & Professionalism — Every Step of the Way
We follow this process to protect your home, improve chimney performance, and ensure you’re confident in using or upgrading your fireplace system. Every technician is trained, insured, and focused on safety first.
